802.1x pielietojums un attīstība Ethernet kabeļu tīklos

Abstract

Darbā ir apskatīta 802.1X standarta teorētiskā puse, kā arī tās praktiskais pielietojums un dažādu izstrādātāju implementācija savos produktos un risinājumos. 802.1X ir institūta IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association) izstrādāts standarts portu bāzētas pieejas kontrolei datortīklos. Standarts piedāvā autentifikācijas mehānismus iekārtām, kas vēlas piekļūt datortīklam. Galvenokārt darbā ir analizēts 802.1X pielietojums Ethernet kabeļu tīklos, potenciālās problēmas un riski, kā arī izveidoti ieteikumi to novēršanai vai samazināšanai. Tāpat darbā ir izvērtēta dažādu risinājumu izmantošana 802.1X ieviešanai vidēji lielu un lielu uzņēmumu datortīklos.

There is discussed 802.1X standard theoretical part, practical use and implementation by different vendors in their products. 802.1X is an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association) Standard for port-based network access control. It provides an authentication mechanism to devices wishing to attach to a LAN. Mainly there is an analysis of 802.1X application to Ethernet networks, potential problems and risks in the work. It also includes advises how to overcome these risks and standard implementation suggestions in the medium and large enterprise networks.
