This Bio-bibliography is an account of the life and career of
Professor Dr.habil.biol. Pēteris Cimdiņš, member of the Latvian
Academy of Science. It presents a compilation of his publications,
his editions, his commentaries and of his various conference
abstracts. It also offers evidence of his supervision of doctoral
theses, press interviews and various biographical notes. The
compilation identifies key resources about the milieu in which he
lived and worked as a professional scientist and as a community
activist during the period 1978 through to June 2014.
The Bio-bibliography commences with an introductory
overview of Prof. Cimdiņš’ life in the service of academic tradition
as witnessed by his colleague Prof. Māris Kļaviņš. This portrait
is further supplemented by interviews that serve to characterise
his scientific and academic achievement. | |
