1905.gada revolūcijas norise Liepājā: represīvo institūciju darbība

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt represīvo institūciju darbību 1905.gadā Liepājā 1905.gada revolūcijas kontekstā, uzsverot pretdarbību revolucionāru darbībai gan pašā pilsētā un tās tuvumā esošajos Grobiņas un Aizputes apriņķos, gan arī Liepājā dislocētajās karaspēka daļās. Represīvajām institūcijām Liepājā izdevās gūt ierobežotus panākumus revolucionārās kustības izplatības mazināšanā, taču tās nespēja īstenot nepieciešamos pasākumus, lai nodrošinātu ilgstošus panākumus. Tikai 1906.gada sākumā, līdz ar pirmās soda ekspedīcijas darbību Liepājai pieguļošajā lauku apvidū un spēka struktūru asāku vēršanos pret revolucionāriem pilsētā, tika nodrošināta revolucionārās kustības mazināšana, tādējādi noslēdzot 1905.gada aktīvo posmu Liepājā.

This master’s thesis is a study of the actions taken by repressive institutions in Liepāja during the Revolution of 1905. The objective of this research was to study how repressive institutions dealt with the spread of revolutionary activity in Liepāja and the surrounding areas in 1905, as well as in the military formations present in the area at the time. The repressive institutions in Liepāja had limited gains in reducing the spread of revolutionary activities during 1905. They were unable to gain decisive successes until the beginning of 1906, when the first punitive expedition began pacifying the areas surrounding the city and more drastic measures were taken by repressive institutions in the city itself, thus ending the active phase of the revolution in Liepāja.
