The concept of Forced Disappearance of Persons has evolved with more frequency in the last decades. This is due, to a large extent, to the increase in research and publications on the subject, by virtue of the growing interest that this type of crime arises in the international community. Proof of that conceptual evolution it is the fact that until a few years ago said disappearances were only conceived within the framework of dictatorial or authoritarian regimes. Nowadays it is understood that they can exist in any country, regardless of the political ideology or the predominant form of government. The objective of this research is to analyze the effects of the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on enforced disappearance.en_US
