Poļu studentu korporācijas Welecja piemiņas plāksne

Abstract

Raksts satur informāciju par poļu studentu korporāciju Welecja piemiņas plāksni, kas glabājās LU Muzeja krājumā. Rakstā tiek analizēta piemiņas plāksnes memoriālā nozīme kopīgajā Polijas un Latvijas valstu vēsturē, uzsverot poļu studentu korporāciju aizsākumus Baltijā. Uzmanības centrā ir Welecja korporants Ignācijas Moscickis, kurš studējis ir Rīgas Politehnikumā/Rīgas Politehniskajā institūtā, kā arī sniedzis ieguldījumu demokrātijas saglabāšanas mēģinājumā Polijas valstī.

The article contains information about the Memorial plate of the polish student fraternity Welecja which is stored in the University of Latvia Museum stock. The article analyses the memorial importance to the shared history of Poland and Latvia, highlighting the origins of Polish student fraternities in the Baltic. The main focus is on the Welecja's member Ignacy Mościcki, who has studied at the Riga Polytechnikum/Riga Polytechnical Institute, as well as contributed to the attempts of preserving democracy in the Polish state.
