Velosipēdu ražošana un riteņbraukšana Latvijas teritorijā no 19.gs. beigām līdz 1915.gadam

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Velosipēdu ražošana un riteņbraukšana Latvijas teritorijā no 19. gadsimta beigām līdz 1915. gadam”, mērķis ir, balstoties uz Saulkrastu velosipēdu muzejā pieejamiem nepublicētiem un publicētiem avotiem, izpētīt velosipēdu ražošanas pirmsākumus Latvijas teritorijā, kā arī sniegt pārskatu par Latvijā izveidotajām riteņbraucēju biedrībām līdz 1915. gadam – laikā, kad velosipēds pirmoreiz parādās Latvijas teritorijā un ienāk iedzīvotāju ikdienā. Šobrīd attiecīgā tēma ir izpētīta fragmentāri. Īpaši maz informācijas ir par nelielām velosipēdu darbnīcām un riteņbraucēju biedrībām perifērijā. Tādēļ ir nepieciešams apkopojošs pētījums. Iegūtie secinājumi liecina par Latvijas teritorijas augsto industriālo attīstību, spēcīgu vācbaltiešu faktoru velosipēdu rūpniecībā un biedrību organizācijā, kā arī par velosipēda svarīgo lomu latviešu nacionālā sporta dibināšanā un tautiskās pašapziņas celšanā.

In this bachelor's thesis, the aim is to study the origins of bicycle production in Latvia, based on all available sources in Saulkrasti Bicycle Museum. As well as to provide an overview of the cyclist associations established in Latvia. until 1915, when the bicycle first appears and enters the resident’s daily live. At the moment, the subject has been studied fragmentary, particularly in the case of small bicycle workshops and cyclist associations on the periphery, a summary study is needed. The conclusions of Bachelor thesis indicates the high industrial development of the territory of Latvia, a strong Baltic German factor in the bicycle industry and the organization of associations, as well as the important role of cycling in establishing Latvian national sports and raising self-comprehension.
