Rīgas monētniecība: politiskie, ekonomiskie un sociālie faktori, 15.-16. gadsimta vidus

Abstract

Maģistra darbs ir veltīts Rīgas monētniecībai un to ietekmējošiem faktoriem no 15. līdz 16. gadsimta vidum. Darba koncepcijas pamatā ir skatījums uz Rīgu kā uz stratēģiski svarīgu pilsētu, kurā krustojās un konfliktēja dažādu politisko spēku intereses. Ļoti spilgti šīs nesaskaņas atspoguļojās Rīgas monētniecībā un monetārajā politikā. Tiek aplūkotas Rīgas monetniecības pirmsākumi un monētu kalšanas praktiskā īstenošana, Livonijas monetārās politikas tendences un Rīgas loma šajā politikā, politisko notikumu atspoguļojums Rīgas numismātikajā materiālā. Atsevišķa nodaļa ir veltīta pārējo Livonijas pilsētu un Ziemeļvācijas monētniecībai, kas ļauj saskatīt kopējās tendences reģionālajā līmenī.

The master's thesis focuses on Riga coinage and the factors influencing it from the middle of the 15th to the 16th century. The concept of the work is based on the view of Riga as a strategically important city, where the interests of various political forces intersected and contradicted. These disagreements were clearly reflected in the minting and monetary policy of Riga. The master's thesis discusses the origins of the Riga coinage and its practical implementation, the tendencies of the monetary policy of Livonia and the role of Riga in this policy, the reflection of political events in the numismatic material of Riga. A separate section is devoted to the coinage of Tallinn, Tartu and Northern Germany, which allows to see general trends at the regional level.
