Abstract
Collection of articles, reports and abstracts “Eco-phenomenology today” presents results of the first stage of the Latvian Science Council project Izp-2020/2-0085. It is devoted to research of the world's first published scholarly works in Eco phenomenology, as well as to delineating the of phenomenological, aesthetic, social, ethical, and Covid19 pandemic time dimensions of this new direction and for further development in order to prepare articles of international significance. Several tasks were accomplished: 1) research on how Husserl's classical phenomenology works in the aspect of Eco-phenomenology, which concepts, trends, methods should be developed to expand phenomenology in the fields of life, natural, environment, human existence in nature and home; 2) the contribution of phenomenology of life is considered, including the series of publications “Analecta Husserliana”; 3) new developments of phenomenology in relation to pandemics, virus spread and public reaction to it are analyzed; 4) practical approaches of Eco-phenomenology in in the fields of mental health and terrorist threats are considered. This publication is based on the presented reports and discussions during 79th International conference in the University of Latvia.
