Igaunijas Arktikas reģiona identitāte

Abstract

Pēdējos gados Arktikas reģions ir kļuvis par aizvien nozīmīgāku jautājumu ne vien pašam reģionam, bet arī pasaulei kopumā – var novērot pastiprinātu interesi arī no to valstu puses, kuras neatrodas Arktikas reģionā. Viena no šādām valstīm ir Igaunija. Igaunija kopš 2010. gada ir izrādījusi interesi iesaistīties Arktikas Padomē, starptautiskā organizācijā, kura veicina un koordinē valstu sadarbību reģionā. Kopš 2019. gada Igaunija aktīvi veic publisku komunikāciju, ka tā ir valsts ar vēsturi un izteiktām interesēm reģionā. Līdz ar to tiek izvirzīta bakalaura darba tēma: “Igaunijas Arktikas reģiona identitāte”. Bakalaura darba problēma ir Igaunijas Arktikas reģiona identitātes esamība. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai Igaunijai ir Arktikas reģiona identitāte, balstoties uz valstiskuma identitātes konceptu. Darba pētnieciskās daļas analīzei tiek izmantots valstiskās identitātes koncepts. Darba pētnieciskajā daļā, pielietojot teorētisko rāmi, tiek apskatītas gan Igaunijas intereses, gan Igaunijas rīcība, ar mērķi pārbaudīt hipotēzi: Igaunijai, balstoties uz valstiskās identitātes konceptu, ir Arktikas reģiona identitāte.

In recent years, the Arctic region has become an increasingly important issue not only for the region itself, but also for the world, with increased interest also from countries outside the Arctic region. Estonia is one of these countries. Since 2010, Estonia has expressed interest in joining the Arctic Council, an international organisation that promotes and coordinates cooperation between countries in the region. Since 2019, Estonia has been actively communicating that it is a country with a history and strong interests in the region. The topic of the bachelor thesis is therefore: 'Estonian Arctic Identity. The problem of the bachelor thesis is the existence of an Estonian Arctic regional identity. The aim of the research is to find out whether Estonia has an Arctic regional identity based on the concept of statehood identity. The concept of state identity is used for the analysis of the research part of the thesis. In the research part of the paper, both Estonian interests and Estonian actions are examined using a theoretical framework, with the aim of testing the hypothesis: Estonia has an Arctic regional identity based on the concept of statehood.
