ASV-Ziemeļkorejas attiecības Donalda Trampa prezidentūras laikā: samitu diplomātija

Abstract

ASV- Ziemeļkorejas attiecības allaž bijusi gana aktuāla izpētes tēma, ņemot vērā to, ka starp valstīm nepastāv diplomātiskas attiecības. Maģistra darbs pievērsies ASV- Ziemeļkorejas valstu attiecību tematikai ASV prezidenta Donalda Trampa prezidentūras laikā, kad valstu vadītāji gan apmainījās skarbiem izteikumiem un pat izteica savstarpējus draudus, gan arī trīs reizes tikās samitos. Tā kā noteiktajā periodā starpvalstu attiecībās īpaši būtiskas bija tieši samitu tikšanās, tad kā teorētiskais ietvars tiks izmantots samitu diplomātijas koncepts. Šis koncepts tiks gan skaidrots, gan arī vērtēts tā pozitīvais un negatīvais pienesums. Maģistra darbs sastāv no samitu diplomātijas koncepta izklāsta un analīzes, ASV- Ziemeļkorejas attiecību priekšvēstures līdz Trampa prezidentūrai izpētes, kā arī trīs samitu apskatīšanas, analizējot to ieguldījumu un nozīmi valstu attiecību kontekstā.

United States of America’s - North Korea’s relations have always been a sufficiently topical subject of research, given that there is no diplomatic relationship between countries. The Master's work focuses on the relations between the US - North Korea during the presidency of US President Donald Trump, when the Heads of State exchanged harsh statements and even expressed mutual threats, but met three times at summits too. Given that the meetings of summits were particularly important in interstate relations over the period, the concept of summit diplomacy will be used as a theoretical framework. This concept will be explained as well as its positive and negative contribution. The Master's work consists of a presentation and analysis of the concept of summit diplomacy, a study on the background of the US-North Korean relationship to the Trump presidency, and the analysing of the three summits, analysing their contribution and importance in the context of these interstate relations.
