Postteisms Džona Sponga teoloģijā: izcelsme un galvenie aspekti

Abstract

Darbā aplūkota 20. gs. amerikāņu teologa Džona Sponga uzskati, konkrēti, viņa izpratne par teismu. Analīze veikta ņemot vērā kultūrsociālo kontekstu (Otra pasaules kara sekas un atmiņas, sekularizācija, pēckara gadu sociālais optimisms) un tendences teoloģisko ideju jaunradē (piemēram, “Dieva nāves” ideja), kas meta izaicinājumu klasiskajam teismam. Darba tēze ir - Sponga postteisms ir virspusēja Apgaismības laikmeta racionālismā balstīta kritika, kas nav pietiekoši ņēmusi vērā dažādas teisma versijas un to skaidrojumus. Darba galvenie uzdevumi – (1) Definēt darbā pielietotos jēdzienus, (2) Parādīt kontekstu, kura veidojās Sponga idejas, (3) Parādīt Sponga postteistiskās teoloģijas avotus, (4) Kritiski analizēt Sponga postteistisko teoloģiju. Darbā izmantota vēsturiski salīdzinošā analīze un rūpīgā lasīšana. Darbā izvirzītā tēze pierādīta, parādot, ka arī teismam gan pagātnē gan mūsdienās ir iespējamas dažādas versijas, kuras Spongs savos darbos neaplūko. The work deals with views of 20th centrury American theologian John Spong, in particular his understanding of theism. The analysis takes into account socio-cultural context (consequences and memories of the Second World War, secularisation, post-war social optimism) and trends in production of theological ideas (such as an idea of "death of God"), which challenged classical theism. The thesis of the work - Spong's post-theism is a superficial critique based on rationalism of the Enlightenment, which did not take sufficient account of various versions of theism. The main tasks of this work - (1) To define concepts used in this academic work; (2) To show the context in which Spong's ideas were formed, (3) To show sources of Spong's post-theistic theology; (4) To analyze Spong's post-theistic theology. The work uses methods of historical comparative analysis and close reading. The thesis put forward in the work is proved, showing that theism has various versions, both in the past and nowadays, which Spong did not consider in his works.
