Abstract

Raksts izveidots, balstoties uz 2020. gada novembra mēneša priekšmetu. Mēneša priekšmets ir izvēlēts, aktualizējot 1991. gada Barikāžu 30 gadskārtu, skatoties LU vēstures kontekstā. Tiek analizēta un vērtēta LU loma LTF darbībā un tās cīņā par neatkarīgas Latvijas valsts atjaunošanu PSRS pēdējās pastāvēšanas laikā. Pielikumā rakstam nāk audio intervijas ar LTF LU nodaļas biedriem, kuri dalās savos pieredzes stāstos par vētrainajiem Trešās atmodas notikumiem LU un LU saimes attieksmi pret tiem.

This article is based on the November 2020 museum subject of the Museum of the University of Latvia. The subject of the month has been chosen to highlight the 30th anniversary of the 1991 Barricades in the context of the history of the University of Latvia. The role of the UL in the activities of the Latvian Popular front and its struggle for the restoration of an independent Latvian state during the last years of the USSR is analysed and evaluated. The article is accompanied by audio interviews with members of the University of Latvia department of the Latvian Popular front, who share their experiences of the turbulent events of the Third Awakening at UL.
