Viļķenes pagasta kultūras dzīve 1920.-1940.gadā

Abstract

Pētījums ir veltīts līdz šim nepētītai tēmai – Viļķenes pagasta kultūras dzīvei 1920.–1940. gadā. Mērķis ir analizēt kultūras dzīvi Viļķenes pagastā, aplūkojot kādas biedrības un indivīdi to veicināja un kāda kultūras dzīve bija pieejama pagasta iedzīvotājiem starpkaru periodā no 1920. līdz 1940. gadam. Balstoties uz informāciju Latvijas Nacionālā arhīva Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīva materiālos, darbā secināts, ka Viļķenes pagastā starpkaru periodā galvenās biedrības, kas organizēja kultūras pasākumus, bija Katrīnas izglītības biedrība “Gaisma” un Viļķenes nodaļas aizsargu biedrība. Pieprasījums pēc kultūras Viļķenes pagastā bija augsts. Pieprasītākie žurnāli bija ar politisku vai kulturālu raksturu. Kā arī saviesīgie vakari ar teātra izrādēm piepildīja sarīkojuma zāles.

The research is devoted to a yet unexplored topic – the cultural life of Viļķene civil parish from 1920 to 1940. The aim is to analyze the cultural life in the civil parish of Viļķene, looking at the societies and individuals who contributed to it and what kind of cultural life was available to the residents of the civil parish from 1920 to 1940. Based on information from documents collected by Latvian National Archives, Latvian State Historical Archive, it is concluded that in the interwar period the main associations that organized cultural events in the civil parish of Viļķene were the Katrīna education association “Gaisma” and the Viļķene Home Guard (Aizsargi). The demand for culture in Viļķene civil parish was high. The most requested magazines were of a political or cultural nature. The social evenings with theater performances filled the event halls.
