Abstract

Maģistra darbs “Identitātes meklējumi Kendzaburō Ōe romānā “1860. gada futbols” pēckara japāņu sabiedrības kritikas aspektā” ir veltīts identitātes meklējumu tēmas galveno motīvu pielietojuma izpētei slavenā japāņu pēckara rakstnieka romānā “1860. gada futbols,” koncentrējoties uz to izpausmi tieši pēckara japāņu sabiedrības kritikas aspektā. Darba galvenais mērķis ir izskaidrot daiļdarba “1860. gada futbols” sniegto pamatdomu autora noteiktās pēckara japāņu sabiedrības kritikas ietvaros, līdz ar to izanalizējot arī romānā atklātās identitātes meklējumu tēmas attīstību. Darba pirmajā daļā tiek pētīti romāna galveno varoņu iekšējie konflikti autora galveno tēmu – izmisuma, neprāta, vardarbības – aspektā, izceļot pēckara Japānas sabiedrības vadošās problēmas un to cēloņus. Otrajā daļā tiek analizēti galveno varoņu identitātes meklējumi vēsturisko notikumu interpretācijā, kas izpaužas varoņu atklātajā konfliktā; kā arī tiek iztirzāti literārie paņēmieni, kurus ir izmantojis autors, lai izveidotu mitoloģisko telpu ar nolūku panākt metaforisku stāstījumu. Savukārt trešā daļa izvēršas par padziļinātu identitātes apliecināšanas tēmas analīzi, rakstnieka atainotās pēckara Japānas sabiebrības kritikas izpēti un romāna galvenā vēstījuma nozīmes skaidrošanu. Darba pamatteksta kopējais apjoms ir 77 lapas.

The Master’s thesis “The Search for Identity in Kenzaburō Ōe’s Novel “Silent Cry” Through the Prism of Criticism of Post-war Japanese Society” is devoted to the research about the usage of the theme of search for identity in the novel Silent Cry by a famous post-war writer, focusing on its expression in the aspect of criticism of post-war Japanese society. The main goal of the thesis is to explain the basic idea provided in the Silent Cry within the social critique of post-war period defined by the author, thus analyzing the development of the theme of search for identity revealed in the novel. The first part of the thesis examines the internal conflicts of the main characters of the novel within the aspect of the author’s major themes – despair, madness, violence – by highlighting the post-war Japanese society’s leading problems and their causes. The second part analyzes the search for the identity of the main characters within their interpretation of historical events, which manifests itself in their explicit conflict; and explores the literary techniques used by the writer to create a mythological space in order to achieve metaphorical narrative. The third part, however, develops into an in-depth analysis of the theme of identity affirmation, the study of the writer’s critique of post-war Japanese society, and the explication of the meaning of the central message revealed in the novel. The overall length of the thesis is 77 pages.
