Salikteņu lietojums ceļojumu emuāros

Abstract

Salikteņu veidošana ir viena no visbiežāk izmantotajām vārdu veidošanas metodēm. Šajā pētījumā tiek analizēts salikteņu lietojums un lietošanas biežums ceļojumu emuāros dažādās angliski runājošās valstīs. Analīzes kritēriji ietver salikteņu pareizrakstību, to sintaktiskās un semantiskās īpašības. Pētījumā tika izmantota teksta analīze, kā arī kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā analīze. Balstoties uz pareizrakstību, rezultāti atklāj, ka visbiežāk lietoti salikteņi, kas rakstāmi bez atstarpes. Savukārt, analizējot pēc sintaktiskajām īpašībām, nominālie salikteņi ir visizplatītākie. Attiecībā uz semantiskajām īpašībām visbiežāk sastopami endocentriskie salikteņi. Savstarpēji salīdzinot Apvienotās Karalistes, Amerikas Savienoto Valstu un Austrālijas ceļojumu emuārus, salikteņi visvairāk tiek lietoti Apvienotās Karalistes un Amerikas Savienoto Valstu ceļojumu emuāros.

The formation of compounds is one of the most recurrent methods of word formation. Therefore, the present research investigates the use and recurrence of compounds in travel blogs from various English-speaking countries, analysed according to their spelling, syntactic and semantic features. Text analysis, as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis were applied to the research. The results reveal that, based on spelling, closed compounds are the most frequent ones. When analysed according to syntactic features, nominal compounds are the most recurrent. As for semantic features, endocentric compounds are encountered the most. When comparing travel blogs from the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia, compounds are most commonly used in travel blogs from the United Kingdom and the United States.
