Latvijas normatīvie akti paredz, ka veterinārie medikamenti var tikt izplatīti arī caur vispārēja tipa aptiekām, kā arī noteiktās situācijās ir atļauts veterināros medikamentus aizvietot ar humānajiem, kas uzliek pienākumu farmaceitiem zināt nedaudz arī par veterinārijas tēmām. Pētījuma mērķis ar anketēšanas palīdzību noskaidrot farmācijas speciālistu zināšanas par veterinārajiem medikamentiem, lai saprastu, vai ir nepieciešams farmācijas nozares pārstāvjus vairāk izglītot saistībā ar veterinārijas tēmām, Iegūtie dati norāda, ka veterināro recepšu aprite divu gadu periodā ir palielinājusies un visvairāk tiek izrakstītas suņiem domātas receptes. Aptaujas datos tika noskaidrots, ka 59% farmācijas speciālistu nav pārliecināti par zināšanu līmeni veterinārajos medikamentos. The aim of the study is to find out the knowledge of pharmaceutical specialists about veterinary medicines by means of questionnaires, in order to understand whether it is necessary to educate representatives of the pharmaceutical industry more in connection with veterinary topics, The obtained data indicate that the circulation of veterinary prescriptions has increased over the two-year period, and prescriptions intended for dogs are prescribed the most. The survey data revealed that 59% of pharmaceutical specialists are not sure about the level of knowledge in veterinary medicines.
