Pieminekļa "Padomju Latvijas un Rīgas atbrīvotājiem no fašistiskajiem iebrucējiem" demontāžas atspoguļojums tiešsaistes medijos

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Pieminekļa “Padomju Latvijas un Rīgas atbrīvotājiem no fašistiskajiem iebrucējiem demontāžas atspoguļojums tiešsaistes medijos” tiek pētīts Latvijas interneta ziņu portālu veidotais vēstījums par sabiedrībā pretrunīgi vērtētā pieminekļa Uzvaras parkā demontāžu. Darba mērķis ir sniegt izpratni par politiski neviennozīmīgu jautājumu izklāstu Latvijas mediju telpā. Teorētiskā bāze sastāv no kritiskās diskursa analīzes izpratnes par politiski pretrunīgu jautājumu atspoguļošanas mehānismiem, balstoties mūsdienu interneta ziņu veidošanas specifikā. Kā analīzes materiāls izvēlēti vadošie interneta ziņu portāli Latvijā - delfi.lv, apollo.lv un tvnet.lv. Izvēlētās kvalitatīvās izpētes metodes – rāmējuma analīze un kontentanalīze – ļauj secināt, ka mediju sniegtais atspoguļojums bijis daudzveidīgs un visbiežāk pielietoti neitrālu attieksmi veidojoši diskursa mehānismi (stratēģijas un rāmji), kas neveicina uzskatu maiņu sabiedrībā (gan par atbalstu demontāžai, gan pret to). Kopumā trīs analīzei izvēlēto ziņu portālu vēstījumi ir līdzīgi, taču atšķiras to neitralitātes pakāpes. Darba pielikums papildināts ar četrām tabulām.

The bachelor's thesis “Online media coverage of the dismantling of the "Monument to the Liberators of Soviet Latvia and Riga” examines the narratives created by Latvian online news media about the dismantling of the of the "Monument to the Liberators of Soviet Latvia and Riga”, which is controversial topic in society. The aim of the work is to provide an understanding of the presentation of politically ambiguous issues in the Latvian media space. The theoretical background of the research consists of critical discourse analysis perspective on how discourse mechanisms can be used in coverage of politically controversial issues, taking into account the specifics of today’s online media. Selected for the analysis are the leading online news portals in Latvia - delfi.lv, apollo.lv and tvnet.lv. The chosen qualitative research methods - framing analysis and content analysis - allows to conclude that the coverage provided by the media was diverse. Most often applied discourse mechanisms have allowed to create neutral attitude, which does not promote a change of opinion in society (both for support for dismantling and against it). In general, the messages of the three online news portals selected for analysis are similar, but their degrees of neutrality differ. The work appendix is supplemented with four tables.
