Vjetnamas kara ietekme uz ASV iekšpolitiku no 1964. gada līdz 1973.gadām

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīts Vjetnamas kara iespaids uz ASV iekšpolitiku laika posmā no 1964. gada līdz 1975. gadam. Šis laika periods bija posms, kad ASV iesaiste karadarbībā Vjetnamā bija visaktīvākā. Šis karš satricināja un neatgriezeniski manīja ASV iekšpolitiku un ārpolitiku. Darbā tiek secināts, ka Vjetnamas kara ietekme uz ASV iekšpolitiku bija ļoti liela. No 1969. gada līdz 1975. gadam Vjetnamas karš bija viens no aktuālākajiem, jautājumiem ASV. Šis karš bija galvenais faktors divās ASV prezidenta vēlēšanās un turpināja ietekmēt ASV politiku vēl vairākus gadus pēc kara beigām. Arī ASV sabiedrībā Vjetnamas karš atstā-ja lielu ietekmi, vel vairāk sašķeļot un polarizējot to. Vjetnamas karš neatgriezeniski manīja vairāku miljonu cilvēku dzīves, prasīja vairāk kā 3 miljonu dzīvības un atstāja smagas veselības sekas vairākām paaudzēm gan Vjetnamā gan ASV.

The thesis examines the impact of the Vietnam War on US domestic policy between 1964 and 1975. This period was the period when the US involvement in the Vietnam War was at its most active. The war shook and permanently affected US domestic and foreign policy. The thesis concludes that the impact of the Vietnam War on US domestic policy was profound. From 1969 to 1975, the Vietnam War was one of the most pressing issues in the US. The war was a key factor in two US presidential elections and continued to influence US policy for several years after the end of the war. The Vietnam War also had a major impact on US society, further dividing and polarising it. The Vietnam War permanently affected the lives of several million people, claimed more than 3 million lives and left severe health con-sequences for several generations in both Vietnam and the US.
