Kūdraugšņu izplatība un īpašības lauksaimniecības zemēs Skrudalienas pagastā

Abstract

Kūdraugsnes ir viens no sarežģītākajiem augsnes veidiem, kas rodas organisko komponentu veidošanās un sadalīšanās skābekļa trūkuma, mitrā vidē. Tāpēc viena no lielākajām problēmām ir tādu zemju pamēšana. Nav pieejamas un aktuālas informācijas par kūdraugšņu izplatību un izmantošanu, tāpēc šī pētījuma mērķis ir atjaunot informāciju par kūdraugšņu izplatību Skrudalienas pagastā. Darbā tiek aprakstītas lauksaimniecībā izmantojamo kūdraugšņu platību mainīšanas tendences, kā arī tiek raksturotas augsnes ķīmiskas īpašības – pH un organisko vielu daudzums. Pētījuma rezultāti parāda, ka kūdraugšņu platība, kas tiek izmantota lauksaimniecībā ir krietni samazinājusies. Tika konstatēts, ka lielāka daļa no vēsturiskajām kūdraugšņu kontūrām tika apmežotas.

Peat soil is one of the most complex types of soil that forms and decomposes organic components in an oxygen-deficient, moist environment. Therefore, one of the major problems is the drainage of such lands. There is no available and up-to-date information on the distribution and utilization of peat soils, so the objective of this study is to restore information on the distribution of peat soils in the Skrudaliena parish. The paper describes the changing trends in the area of peat soils used in agriculture, as well as characterizes the soil's chemical properties - pH and organic matter content. The results of the study show that the area of peat soils used in agriculture has significantly decreased. It was found that a majority of historical peat soil contours have been afforested.
