Drosme un gļēvums Sofokla un Eurīpida traģēdijās

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma „Drosme un gļēvums Sofokla un Eurīpida traģēdijās”. Darbs ir iedalīts divās teorētiskajās nodaļās, kur pirmajā ir aplūkota sengrieķu traģēdijas attīstība un vispārējās iezīmes, bet otrajā iztirzātas antīkā teorētiķa Aristoteļa atziņas par sengrieķu traģēdiju un cilvēka rakstura īpašībām. Bakalaura darba praktisko pētījuma daļu veido 2 nodaļas. Tajās tiek doti tekstvietu piemēri un tulkojumi, kuros ir balstīta analīze. Darba izstrādei tika atlasītas Sofokla traģēdijas Antigone un Elektra, un Eurīpida traģēdijas Alkestīda un Elektra. Šāda traģēdiju atlase tika veikta, jo, pirmkārt, abi traģediogrāfi pievērsušies Elektras rakstura atainojumam, paverot iespēju salīdzinošai analīzei. Otrkārt, traģēdijās Antigone un Alkestīda vērojami spilgti raksturu pretstatījumi, kas arī būtu potenciāli pateicīgi raksturu analīzei drosmes un gļēvuma kontekstā. The title of the work is "Courage and cowardice in the tragedies of Sophocles and Euripides". The work is divided into two theoretical chapters, where the first one examines the development and general features of ancient Greek tragedy, while the second one discusses the insights of the ancient theorist Aristotle on ancient Greek tragedy and the characteristics of human character. The practical research part of the bachelor thesis consists of 2 chapters. They give examples and translations of passages on which the analysis is based. Sophocles' tragedies Antigone and Electra and Euripides' tragedies Alcestis and Electra were selected for the development of the work. First of all, this selection of tragedies was made because both tragedians focused on the portrayal of Electra's character, opening the possibility for a comparative analysis. Secondly, in the tragedies Antigone and Alcestis, there are vivid contrasts of characters, which would also potentially be grateful for character analysis in the context of courage and cowardice.
