Mēness ietekme uz cilvēku un apkārtējo vidi latviešu folklorā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Mēness ietekme uz cilvēku un apkārtējo vidi latviešu folklorā” mērķis ir gūt izpratni par to, kā latviešu folkloras teksti ataino mēness ietekmi uz cilvēku un apkārtējo vidi, kādas funkcijas mēnesim visvairāk piedēvētas, kādos folkloras žanros mēness ietekme minēta visplašāk un kas no tā, kā uz mēnesi raugās folklorā, ir saglabājies arī mūsdienās, bet kas – jaunradīts vai transformējies. Bakalaura darbā mēness un tā ietekme aplūkota secīgi no senatnes līdz mūsdienām – darba pirmajā nodaļā sniegts konspektīvs ieskatu baltu priekšstatos par mēnesi, ko atspoguļo arheoloģijas un citi materiāli, otrajā nodaļā analizēta latviešu klasiskajā folklorā (vairāk –tautasdziesmās un ticējumos) atainotā mēness ietekme uz cilvēku un vidi, bet trešajā nodaļā, balstoties uz bakalaura darba ietvaros veiktās anketēšanas rezultātiem, runāts par mūsdienu priekšstatiem par mēnesi, īpaši par mēness fāžu ievērošanas tradīciju ikdienas darbu veikšanā, pilnmēness ietekmi un citiem aspektiem.

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis “The Influence of the Moon on Human Being and the Environment in Latvian Folklore” is to gain understanding of how the influence of the Moon on human being and the environment is depicted in Latvian folklore, what functions the Moon is attributed, in which genres of folklore the influence of the Moon is mentioned the most and what aspects of how the Moon is perceived in folklore are still in use in the present day, but what has been newly created or transformed. The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the Moon and its influence sequentially from ancient times to the present day – the first chapter of the thesis gives a concise insight into ancient Balts’ notions of the Moon, based on archeology and other materials, the second chapter focuses on the influence of the Moon depicted in Latvian classical folklore (mainly – in folk songs and folk beliefs), whereas the third chapter, largely based on the results of a survey carried out as a part of the research, takes a look into the notions of the Moon in the present day, especially the modern tradition of observing and following the phases of the Moon in everyday life, the influence of it’s full phase and other aspects alike.
