Publiskā bibliotēka - vieta, kur izglītoties un socializēties senioriem

Abstract

Pētījuma “Publiskā bibliotēka – vieta, kur izglītoties un socializēties senioriem” mērķis ir noskaidrot publisko bibliotēku pakalpojumus, to pieejamību un aktualitāti senioriem, kuri vēlas socializēties un izglītoties, kā arī, skaidrot senioru iesaisti un motivāciju. Maģistra darbs izstrādāts pamatojoties uz sociāli kognitīvo teoriju, konstruktīvisma un sociālā konstruktīvisma pieeju, tās papildinot ar empīrisma filozofiskajām atziņām. Pētījuma izpētes pakāpes analīzē aplūkota Latvijas un ārzemju pieredze bibliotekārajā darbā ar senioriem, savukārt maģistra darba empīriskā daļa balstās tikai uz Latvijas prakses piemēriem. Izmantojot metožu triangulāciju, daļēji strukturēto intervēšanu, anketēšanu un kvalitatīvo kontentanalīzi, rezultātu un diskusijas daļā apkopoti un analizēti pētījuma laikā iegūtie dati. Rezultāti atspoguļo šī brīža situāciju par Latvijas publisko bibliotēku pakalpojumu plānošanas un īstenošanas posmiem, kādas ir efektīvākās metodes senioru informēšanai par bibliotēkas pakalpojumiem, attiecībām ar senioriem kā lietotāju grupu un senioru viedokli par pakalpojumu aktualitāti. Nobeigumā izstrādātas vadlīnijas “Bibliotēkas pakalpojumi senioriem – labas prakses vadlīnijas”.

The aim of research “The public library – a place to educate and socialize for seniors” is to find out the services of public libraries, their availability and relevance for seniors who want to socialize and learn, as well as to explain the involvement and motivation of seniors. The master's thesis was developed on the basis of socio-cognitive theory, constructivism and social constructivism approaches, supplementing them with the philosophical insights of empiricism. The research analysis of the study examines Latvian and foreign experience in librarian work with seniors, while the empirical part of the master's thesis is based only on examples of Latvian practice. Using triangulation of methods, semi-structured interviewing, questionnaires and qualitative content analysis, the data obtained during the research were collected and analyzed in the results and discussion part. The results reflect the current situation regarding the stages of planning and implementation of public library services in Latvia, what are the most effective methods for informing seniors about library services, relations with seniors as a user group and opinion of seniors about the relevance of services. Finally, the guidelines "Library services for seniors - good practice guidelines" have been developed.
