Abstract

Darbā “137.psalma interpretācijas iespējas” veikta šī lāsta psalma ekseģēze, uzsvaru liekot uz vārda “svētīts” ( אשרי) lietojumu Ps137:8-9, vienlaikus ar lāstu izteikšanu, pierādot, ka aicinājums uz vardarbību ir pilnībā atbilstošs taliona principam un Dieva taisnīguma principam. Darbā sniegts ieskats Ps 137 interpretāciju vēsturē – sākot ar baznīctēvu psalma interpretācijām un beidzot ar mūsdienu teologu skatījumu uz psalma vēstījumu, uzsvaru liekot uz vardarbības vārdu skaidrojumu psalmā.

In the study "The Interpretation possibilities of Psalm 137” an exegesis of this imprecatory psalm was carried out. The emphasis is placed on the usage of the word "blessed" (אשרי) in Ps137:8-9, while expressing a curse, demonstrating that the call to violence fully aligns with the principle of lex talionis and the principle of God's justice. The study provides an overview of interpretations of Psalm 137 throughout history, starting from interpretations by church fathers and ending with the perspectives of contemporary theologians on the message of the psalm, with an emphasis on the explanation of violent words in the psalm.
