Lielvārdes-Lieljumpravas draudzes novads 19. gadsimta pirmajā pusē

Abstract

Līdz ar dzimtbūšanas atcelšanu un attiecīgajām izmaiņām sociālajā iekārtā 19. gadsimts Vidzemē bija pārmaiņu laiks. Šīs pārmaiņas var pētīt caur guberņas administratīvo vienību – draudžu novadu vēsturi. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt un aprakstīt Lielvārdes- Lieljumpravas draudzes novadu laikā no 1800. līdz 1866. gadam, sniedzot pirmo akadēmisko aprakstu par ikdienas dzīvi šajā visā draudzes novadā. Tajā aprakstītas iedzīvotāju saimnieciskās un sociālās aktivitātes šajā pārmaiņu laikā, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot saimnieciskās ražošanas, reliģiskās un sabiedriskās dzīves un zemnieku izglītības iespēju jomām. Pētījumā parādīta spriedze starp zemniekiem un muižniekiem, baznīcas nozīme sociālajā dzīvē un mācītāja lēmumu iespaidotā situācija draudzes novada zemnieku izglītības jomā, ievietojot to Vidzemes guberņas vēsturisko norišu kontekstā.

With the abolition of serfdom and the corresponding changes in the social order, the 19th century was a time of change in Vidzeme. Local history in Vidzeme can be studied through the administrative entities of Lutheran parishes. This thesis aims to research and describe the Lielvārde-Lieljumprava parish throughout the years 1800-1866, providing the first academic description of daily life in this time and place. It describes the population's economic and social activities through this time of change, focusing on the areas of economic production, religious and social life, and educational opportunities for peasants. The study shows the tensions between peasants and landlords, the importance of the church in social life, and the limited education due to the pastor's decisions. It places these in the larger context of Vidzeme at this time.
