Abstract

Pētījums veikts par Latvijas vēstures interpretācijas izmaiņām 1980. gadu otrajā pusē, koncentrējoties uz nacionālkomunistu kustības sagrāvi 1959. gadā. Pētījuma centrā ir nacionālkomunistu kustības loma un ietekme uz Latvijas vēstures interpretācijas maiņu. Darba metodoloģija ietver primāru avotu analīzi, kā arī – literatūras apkopošanu par šo tematu. Pētījuma noslēgumā iegūtie galvenie secinājumi ļauj secināt, ka atmodas procesu laikā, detalizēti vērtējot nacionālkomunistus, sabiedrība ieguva niansētāku izpratni par pagātni kopumā. Padziļinātāka sapratne par vēstures notikumiem, ļāva tos pārvērtēt no jauna.

The study was conducted on the changes in the interpretation of Latvian history in the second half of the 1980s, focusing on the defeat of the national communist movement in 1959. The focus of the study is the role and influence of the national communist movement on the change of interpretation of Latvian history. The methodology of the work includes the analysis of primary sources, as well as the collection of literature on this topic. The main conclusions obtained at the end of the study allow us to conclude that during the awakening process, by evaluating the national communists in detail, the society gained a more nuanced understanding of the past as a whole. A deeper understanding of historical events allowed them to be re-evaluated.
