Paula Jureviča kultūrfilosofisko uzskatu izvērtējums

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir tematizēt latviešu filosofa, esejista, Latvijas Universitātes profesora un latviešu emigrantu kopienas pārstāvja, Pētera Paula Valdemāra Jureviča kultūrfilosofiskos uzskatus veidojošās nostādnes, aptverot laika posmu no 1930. – 1973. gadam. Autora tekstuālā korpusa žanriskā un tematiskā neviendabība vedina izvaicāt, vai P. Jureviča gadījumā var pamatoti identificēt vienotu kultūrfilosofisko uzskatu kopumu. Darbā kā būtiski profesora kultūrfilosofiju veidojoši elementi tiek izšķirti tādi temati kā sabiedrības un indivīda attiecību vērtīborientētais risinājums, kultūras attīstības pakāpes, kā arī modernās kultūras un modernitātes cilvēka kritiskā situācija.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to methodize the notions concerning the philosophy of culture present in the works of Latvian philosopher, professor, and essayist Pauls Jurevičs during the period from 1930 until 1973. The vagueness of the author’s choice of genre and themes conveyed proposes to question whether it is possible to identify a structured and complete system of philosophy of culture. The main categorized themes of the philosophy of culture present in the works of P. Jurevičs are the virtue-based conception of society and the individual as well as the notion of culture and its various expressions – the state of the modern person and the crisis in the culture of modernity.
