Osu izplatība un morfoloģija Latvijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā veikts pētījums par osu izplatību un morfoloģiju Latvijā. Darba ietvaros veikta Latvijas teritorijā sastopamo osu un osveida formu izzīmēšana, izmantojot digitālo reljefa modeli ar 1 m izšķirtspēju, un to izplatības un morfoloģijas analīze, balstoties uz iegūtajiem datiem un zinātnisko literatūru par osu morfoloģiju, morfometriju un ģenēzi. Darba rezultāti ietver Latvijas osu garuma, relatīvā augstuma un līkumainības analīzi, analizējot arī šo parametru savstarpējo korelāciju. Analizēti arī osu garenasu vērsumi, osu izplatības likumsakarības ar ledāja malas veidojumu joslām un Latvijas osu morfoloģijas daudzveidība. Vēvere, U., 2024. Distribution and morphology of eskers in Latvia. Bachelor thesis. Riga, University of Latvia, Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences. In the bachelor’s thesis, a study on the distribution and morphology of eskers in Latvia was conducted. This study involved mapping of eskers and esker-like forms in Latvia using a 1-m resolution digital terrain model, and analyzing esker morphology based on the obtained data and scientific literature on esker morphology, morphometry and genesis. The results include an analysis of the length, relative height and sinuosity of eskers in Latvia, and the correlation between them. Additionally, the orientation of esker crestlines, the distribution regarding the ice-marginal positions and the morphological diversity of eskers in Latvia were also examined.
