Bezdarba ietekmējošie faktori Latvijā

Abstract

Bezdarbs ir nozīmīga un pastāvīga sociālekonomiska problēma Latvijā, kas ietekmē gan indivīdu labklājību, gan valsts kopējo attīstību. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir identificēt un, izmantojot ekonometrisko analīzi, kvantitatīvi novērtēt vidējās algas, inflācijas un iekšzemes kopprodukta uz vienu iedzīvotāju ietekmi uz bezdarba līmeņa dinamiku Latvijā. Pētījuma aktualitāti nosaka nepieciešamība padziļināti izprast šo konkrēto faktoru mijiedarbību Latvijas kontekstā, kas līdz šim nav bijis pietiekami pētīts, izmantojot šādu metodoloģisko pieeju. Darbs ir strukturēts trīs nodaļās. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek sniegts teorētisks ieskats bezdarba problemātikā un apskatīti tā galvenie ietekmējošie faktori, īpaši pievēršoties vidējai algai, inflācijai un IKP. Otrajā nodaļā tiek apkopoti un aprakstīti statistikas dati par bezdarba līmeni un izvēlētajiem makroekonomiskajiem rādītājiem Latvijā 2004-2024. Trešajā nodaļā tiek veikta regresijas analīze, lai noteiktu izvēlēto faktoru ietekmes statistisko nozīmību un virzienu uz bezdarba līmeni, kā arī interpretēti iegūtie rezultāti un sniegti secinājumi.

Unemployment is a significant and persistent socio-economic problem in Latvia, affecting both individual well-being and the country's overall development. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to identify and, using econometric analysis, quantitatively assess the impact of average wage, inflation, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita on the dynamics of the unemployment rate in Latvia. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for an in-depth understanding of the interplay of these specific factors in the Latvian context, which has not been sufficiently studied to date using such a methodological approach. The thesis is structured in three chapters. The first chapter provides a theoretical insight into the issue of unemployment and discusses its main influencing factors, with a particular focus on average wage, inflation, and GDP. The second chapter compiles and describes statistical data on the unemployment rate and the selected macroeconomic indicators in Latvia from 2004 to 2024. The third chapter conducts a regression analysis to determine the statistical significance and direction of the selected factors' impact on the unemployment rate, as well as interprets the obtained results and presents conclusions.
