Zusammenfassung
The European Union’s pursuit of economic integration has significantly influenced crossborder labour mobility, with the posting of workers emerging as a key mechanism to address skill shortages and enhance employment opportunities. The Bachelor thesis examines the socioeconomic drivers of posting, particularly in the context of East-West migration, where workers from lower-income Member States are temporary sent to higher-income countries. While posting offers economic advantages and facilitates the transfer of specialized skills, it has also sparked debates over potential social dumping and unequal labour protections. The thesis assesses the regulatory framework governing the posting of workers, focusing on the EU’s ongoing efforts to balance economic freedoms with the protection of workers' rights. Through the application of dual perspective, the analysis explores the complex interplay between market dynamics and social rights within the evolving landscape of the posting of workers in the European Union.
