15. ieroču SS divīzijas cīņas Vācijā (1945.gada janvāris-maijs)

Abstract

. Mana bakalaura darba tēma ir “15. ieroču SS divīzijas cīņas Vācijā (1945.gada janvāris-maijs)”. Darbā tiek apskatītas gan divīzijas cīņas, gan atsevišķas problēmas, ar kādām divīzijas saskārās šajos piecos mēnešos.15. divīzijas cīņās Vācijā ir atspoguļotas samērā daudzos vēsturnieku darbos, bet lielākoties to vērtējums ir ļoti vienveidīgs. Tā kā lielākā daļa šo darbu autori paši ir bijušie leģionāri, tad viņi nevēloties kritizēt viens otru, ļoti daudz ko vērtē līdzīgi, tā nesniedzot viedokļu dažādību. Darba mērķis ir: izpētīt noskaņojumu divīzijā un tā izmaiņas, apskatīt un salīdzināt divīzijas kauju darbību atsevišķos to posmos un noskaidrot vai patiešām no augstākās vācu virspavēlniecības puses bija mēģinājumi atbrīvoties no 15. divīzijas.Visumā jāsaka, ka gan divīzijas, noskaņojums, gan kauju darbības specifika bija visai mainīga atkarībā no stāvokļa frontē un grūtībām, ar kādām saskārās divīzija. Runājot par mēģinājumiem atbrīvoties no latviešu karavīriem, historiogrāfijā tiek minēti vairāki gadījumi, kad tāds esot bijis vācu vadības mērķis, tomēr negribētos ticēt, ka kāda no tām patiešām būtu bijusi tieši pret latviešiem vērsta akcija. Drīzāk latviešu un vācu karošanas metodes, šajā kara noslēguma posmā bija tik atšķirīgas, ka latviešu virsniekiem radās priekšstats, ka vācieši vēlas iznīcināt divīziju.

. The theme of my bachelor paper is “15th Waffen Division of the SS Battles in Germany 1945th January - May “. The paper will view both 15th division battles and separate problems which encountered in division at these five months.15th division battles in Germany have reflected in comparatively many works of historians, however the value of these battles is quite similar. The biggest part of these authors are the former legionnaire that’s way in some situations they simple don’t want to criticize each other. In the result they don’t presents the variety of views. The goal of the paper is: to explore the mood in 15th division and to show how it changes in the period of time, to view and compare the operation of the division battles in separate stages of the battles and to find out whether highest command of the German troops tried to get rid of 15th division. In general, it should be noted that both: mood in division and specific operations of the division were changed with situation in front and with difficulties, which caused the location of division in battle area. Speaking about attempts to destroy the division, historiography talks about number of cases when German highest chief in command tried to do it, however it seems unlikely that was campaign turned against Latvians. Rather Latvian and German methods of warfare in the war ending period where so different, that the Latvian officers thought that the Germans wants to destroy the 15th division.
