Hypertension is a multi-factorial condition that causes high morbidity and mortality worldwide. The aim of the study was to investigate the different clinical parameters that affect the outcome of patients with high blood pressure. 43 hypertensive patients with no associated co-morbidities were divided into two age groups, those up to the age of 45 and those above the age of 45. The risk factors and treatment of these patients were then assessed. The result showed that depending on age and sex patients had different cardiovascular risk factors and closer adherence to guidelines by physicians will show an improvement in treatment regimes. Hipertonija ir daudz faktoru stāvoklis, kurš izraisa mirstības un saslimstības pieaugumu pasaulē. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt dažādus klīniskos parametrus, kuri ietekmē pacientu ar paaugstināto asins spiedienu slimības iznākumu. 43 pacienti ar paaugstinātu asins spiedienu bez pavadošām slimībām bija sadalīti divās vecuma grupās – līdz 45 gadu vecumam un virs 45 gadu vecumam. Tad tika izvērtēti riska faktori un šo pacientu ārstēšana. Rezultāti parādīja, ka atkarīgi no vecuma un dzimuma pacientiem bija dažādi sirds un asinsvadu riska faktori, un ka ārsta norādījumu atbilstība visām normām var uzlabot ārstēšanas plānu.
