Lībiešu etnosa pētniecība Latvijas Republikā starpkaru periodā

Abstract

Darba “Lībiešu etnosa pētniecība Latvijas Republikā starpkaru periodā” būtība ir apskatīt lībiešu etnosa izpēti jaundibinātās Latvijas valsts institūciju un ārzemju zinātnieku organizētajos pētījumos. Maģistra darba mērķis ir apskatīt lībiešu etnosa pētījumus Latvijas Republikā starpkaru periodā arheoloģijas, bioloģiskās antropoloģijas, lingvistikas un etnogrāfijas jomās. Darbam ir historiogrāfisks raksturs, tādēļ mērķa sasniegšanai tika veikta apskatāmajā periodā notikušo pētījumu un to publikāciju apskats un analīze. Darba rezultātā ir gūta atziņa, ka Latvijas Republikā starpkaru periodā lībiešu etnosa izpēte un to atspoguļojošās zinātniskās publikācijas ir ne tikai atbilstoši šajā laikā pieņemtajiem standartiem, bet, izņemot šajā periodā veiktos pētījumus bioloģiskajā antropoloģijā, attiecīgo jomu izpētē izmantojami arī mūsdienās.

The essence of the research paper „The Research of the Liv ethnic group in the Republic of Latvia in the Interwar Period” is to examine the research of the Liv ethnic group in the investigations of the state institutions of the newly-founded state of Latvia, as well as the research carried out by scientists abroad. The aim of the Master’s Paper is to examine the research of the Liv ethnic group in the Republic of Latvia in the interwar period in the areas of archaeology, biological anthropology, linguistics and ethnography. The paper has a historiographic character, so to achieve the aim, the analysis of the investigations and their publications made in the related period was done. As a result of the research it was concluded that the research of the Liv ethnic group in the Republic of Latvia in the interwar period and the scientific publications reflecting it are not only appropriate to the accepted standards of that time, but, except for the research in biological anthropology carried out in that period, also usable nowadays in the research of the related areas.
