14.-16.gs. tuvcīņas ieroči Latvijas arheoloģiskajā materiālā

Abstract

Darbā apskatīti 482 artefakti – zobeni, šķēpi, cirvji, dunči, kaujas naži, āmuri un vāles, kas Latvijas teritorijā izmantoti periodā no Livonijas konfederācijas nostiprināšanās 13./14. gs. mijā līdz tās izjukšanai 16. gs. otrajā pusē. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt 14.–16. gs. tuvcīņas ieročus Latvijas arheoloģiskajā materiālā, īpaši akcentējot to funkcionālos un tipoloģiskos aspektus. Piecās nodaļās apkopoti Latvijā arheoloģiski atrastie 14. – 16. gs. tuvcīņas ieročus, tie klasificēti pēc to funkcionālajām un tipoloģiskajām pazīmēm, izpētīta to nozīme bruņojuma komplektā un izcelsmes vietu. Vienā nodaļā analizētas rakstīto un ikonogrāfisko avotus ziņas. Promocijas darba novitāte ir apkopoto ieroču izpēte vienotā kontekstā. Tā rezultātā vienā pētījumā apvienotas funkcionālā, tipoloģiskā un kultūrvēsturiskā pieeja. Atslēgas vārdi: tuvcīņas ieroči, funkcionalitāte, tipoloģija, hronoloģija.

The paper deals with 482 artifacts - swords, spears, axes, daggers, combat knives, hammers and maces, which were in use in the territory of Latvia in the period from the consolidation of the Confederation of Livonia in the turn of the 13th/14th century till its dissolution in the second half of the 16th century. The aim of this paper is to explore the 14th–16th century close combat weapons in the Latvian archaeological material, with particular emphasis on the functional and typological aspects. In five chapters, 14th–16th century close combat weapons from Latvian archaeological material have been summarized, they have been classifiedby their functional and typological characteristics, as their role in the arms kit and place of origin have been identified. In one chapter and written and iconographic sources have been analyzed. Novelty of the paper is study of summarized weapons in united context. As a result, in one study functional, typological and cultural approaches have been combined. Keywords: close combat weapons, funcionality, typology, chronology.
