"Acta Universitatis Latviensis" - a manifestation of the intellectual performance of the University of Latvia

Abstract

This conference "Library. Science. Communication: the formation of the national information space" (Kyiv, 2016) abstract on „Acta Universitatis Latviensis” as a manifestation of the intellectual performance of the University of Latvia gives an overview of the historical diversity of the Scientific Papers of the University of Latvia during almost a whole century – from the first issue in 1921 to the latest editions of 2016. Acta Universitatis Latviensis is a substantial quintessence of the research activities of the University of Latvia and allows to get to know and to evaluate the development of Latvian scientific thought in European and world context. The University Library has a particular task to care for, preserve and promote this cultural and intellectual heritage.
