Rūdolfs Jurciņš un Beveronija

Abstract

Raksts tapis sadarbībā ar LU Fonda stipendiāti Anniju Pozņaku, lai popularizētu LU vēsturi studentu vidē. Raksta centrā ir izcils sportists, leģendārs latviešu basketbolists, latviešu studentu korporācijas "Beveronija" loceklis Rūdolfs Jurciņš, kurš bija Latvijas Basketbola izlases kapteinis 1935. gada Eiropas pirmajā Basketbola čempionātā Ženēvā, Šveicē. Basketbola izlases kapteinis aizveda Latviju līdz pirmajam Eiropas Basketbola čempiona titulam, uzvarot Spāniju finālā. Abi autori analizē divus aspektus - Annija sporta, Rūdolfs korporatīvo aspektu.

The article is written by cooperating with the University of Latvia Foundation's fellows Annija Pozņaka, to promote the history of the University of Latvia in the student environment. At the center of the article is a distinguished athlete, a legendary Latvian basketball player, member of the Latvian student fraternity “Beveronija” Rūdolfs Jurciņš, who was the captain of the Latvian National Basketball team at Europe's first Basketball championship in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1935. The captain of the basketball team led Latvia to the first title of the European Basketball champion, winning Spain in the final.The two authors are analyzing two aspects - Annija the Sports, Rūdolfs the corporate aspect.
