Ekokritiska un Ekofeministiska Mūsdienu Austrālijas Teātra Interpretācija

Abstract

Lielākā daļa iepriekšējo pētījumu par klimata pārmaiņu atspoguļojumu mūsdienu Austrālijas literatūrā ir analizējuši romānus, tāpēc dramatiskajai literatūrai ir pievērsts salīdzinoši maz uzmanības, lai gan pēdējā desmitgadē ir pieaudzis ar klimata pārmaiņām saistītu dramatisko darbu skaits. Šī darba mērķis ir no ekokriticisma un ekofeminisma perspektīvām izpētīt klimata pārmaiņu literāro attēlojumu lugā “Rising” (latviešu valodā: “Celšanās”) (2021). Darbā tiek izmantotas tādas kvalitatītāvās pētījuma metodes kā literatūras apskats un tekstuālā analīze. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka luga pievēršas dažādām klimata pārmaiņu izpausmēm un to ietekmei uz cilvēkiem un dabu, kā arī atspoguļo to, cik dažādi šādas izpausmes ietekmē marginalizētos sabiedrības locekļus.

Most previous research on the representation of climate change in contemporary Australian literature has focused on novels, thus relatively little attention has been paid to dramatic literature, even though, in the last decade, there has been a groundswell of climate change-themed dramatic works. Therefore, the goal of the present study was to analyse, from ecocritical and ecofeminist perspectives, the literary representation of climate change events in the play Rising (2021). The present work is of qualitative nature, and such research methods as literature review and textual analysis were employed. It was discovered that the play addresses various manifestations of climate change and the impact they have on humans and nature as well as reflects on how such manifestations particularly affect marginalised members of society.
