Statistikas jēdzienu apguves novērtēšana Latvijas Universitātē

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Statistikas jēdzienu apguves novērtēšana Latvijas Universitātē”, kas veltīta mērisntrumenta (testa) izstrādei un adaptācijai latviešu valodā, lai sekmīgi novērtētu studentu statistikas jēdzienu apguvi. Testa izstrāde un tulkošana ir balstīta uz Oklahamas Universitātē jau izstrādāto un vairāku gadu veikto (2002-2005) statistikas koncepta izvērtēšanu, un tā izstrādāto testu. Darbā tiek aprakstīti soļi, kas nepieciešami statistiskā instrumenta (testa) adaptācijai un darba praktiskajā daļā tiek analizēti pirmie iegūtie tulkotā statistisko jēdzienu apguves novērtēšanas testa rezultāti un salīdzināts testā kopējo pareizo iegūto punktu skaits ar studentu Latvijas Universitātē iegūtajiem vidējiem vērtējumiem.

The theme of the bachelor’s thesis is “Assessment of the understanding of statistical concepts at the University of Latvia”, which is devoted to the development and adaptation of a measuring instrument (test) in Latvian language to successfully assess students’ acquisition of statistical concepts. The development and translation of the test is based on the Statistics Concept Inventory (SCI) already developed at the University of Oklahoma and carried out over several years (2002-2005). The paper describes the steps necessary for the adaptation of the statistical instrument (test) and in the practical part of the paper the first results of the translated test of statistical concepts are analysed and compared between the total number of correct scores obtained in the test with the average scores obtained by students at the University of Latvia.
