Vardarbība pret veselības aprūpes speciālistiem Izraēlā

Abstract

Diplomdarbs veltīts vardarbībai pret veselības aprūpes darbiniekiem Izraēlā laika posmā no 2017 līdz 2023. Darba ietvaros tika veikts kvalitatīvi-kvantitatīvs pētījums - mediju kontentanalīze, lai identificētu ar uzbrukumu saistītus faktorus. Darbs satur plašu literatūras apskatu, kas sevī ietver difinīciju, riska faktorus vardabībai veselības aprūpes iestādēs, vardarbības seku izklāstu, preventīvus mērus, ko ieviesa dažādās valstīs un, visbeidzot, situāciju Izraēlā. Iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka medijos ziņoto vardarbības gadījumu statistika atbilst zinātniskās literatūras datiem. Secināts, ka medijiem var piemīt nozīmīga loma vardarbības pret veselības aprūpes darbiniekiem izkaušanā un tiek piedāvāts papildināt rekomendācijas par vardarbības novēršanu. Darbs ir uzrakstīts 54 lapaspusēs angļu valodā ar anotācijām angļu un latviešu valodās, satur trīs tabulas un seši zīmējumus, četri pielikumus, literatūras sarakstu no 63 avotiem.

This thesis work examines trends in violence towards healthcare workers in Israel from 2017 to 2023. The study utilizes qualitative–quantitative content analysis of media articles to identify factors related to the victims of violence and to the perpetrators. Results suggest that the trends in violence statistics, as perceived by the media, are consistent with the existing literature. The study conclusions are that the media could be an important tool in addressing and eradicating the issue of violence towards healthcare workers and proposing revised recommendations for the prevention of violence in the healthcare system. The thesis work begins with a literature review that covers definitions of violence, workplace violence, and violence in the healthcare system. The review also explores the risk factors for violence in healthcare settings, the consequences of violence, the prevention measures taken by different countries and lastly, it will describe the Israeli situation. In total the work is 54 pages, three tables, six graphs and 4 appendices. For the writing of the work 63 references has been used.
