Seksualizācijas reprezentācija filmās “Elvis”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Rocketman”

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā pētīta seksualizācijas reprezentācija filmās “Elvis”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Rocketman”. Pētījuma problēma saistāma ar galveno varoņu, tajā saskatāmo naratīvu un attēlotās seksualitātes reprezentācija ar “Varoņa ceļojuma” shēmu. Teorētiskajā daļā apskatīti semiotikas kino pamatelementi, kuri atklāj darbības vidi, kā arī sniegts ieskats personības īpašībās. Metodoloģiskajā daļā aprakstītas pētījuma izmantotās metodes – semiotiskā analīze, naratīva analīze ar “Varoņa ceļojuma” shēmu un daļēji strukturētās intervijas. Empīriskajā daļā veikta filmu semiotiskā analīze, naratīva analīze, kuras rezultāti salīdzināti ar kino kritiķu viedokļiem no daļēji strukturētajām intervijām.

The bachelor's thesis researches the representation of sexualization in the films "Elvis", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Rocketman". The problem of the study has to do with the representation of the protagonists, the narratives in it, and the sexuality depicted with the “hero's journey” scheme. The theoretical part examines the core elements of semiotic cinema that reveal the operating environment, as well as provides insights into personality properties. The methodological part describes the methods used by the study - semiotic analysis, narrative analysis with a “hero tour” scheme, and semi-structured interviews. The empirical part performs a semiotic analysis of films, narrative analysis, the results of which are compared to the views of film critics from the semi-structured interviews.
