The master's thesis is written in English for 64 pages. It includes 8 images, 6 tables and 93 references. The aim of the master's thesis was to assess the prevalence of reading difficulties and their possible connection with vision problems and primitive reflexes among school-age students. The study involved 46 participants (aged 9 to 10 years). The study was conducted at school using an initial examination to assess the presence of visual problems, their reading abilities and the presence of preserved primitive reflexes. The study showed that nearly 39% of participants in the DEM test experienced reading difficulties, while 20% of them experienced problems in understanding the test and reading quality. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship with both vision problems and primitive reflexes, and the association with the latter was especially significant. The master thesis aimed to evaluate the prevalence of reading difficulties and their possible relatioship with vision problems and primitive reflexes, among school-age students. In the study 46 subjects (aged 9-10) took part. The study was conducted at school with a screening to assess the presence of visual problems, their reading ability, and the presence of retained primitive reflexes. The study showed that almost 39% of partecipants had reading difficulties with DEM test, while 20% of them had problems with test comprehension and reading quality. The statistical analysis showed a siignificant relationship both with vision problems and primitive reflexe, and notably, the correlation was highly meaningful with the latter.
