Nabadzības risks Latvijā Covid-19 ietekmē

Abstract

Pētījums ir veltīts maz pētītajai tēmai par nabadzības risku Latvijā Covid-19 pandēmijas ietekmē. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izanalizēt nabadzības rādītājus Latvijā laika periodā no 2008. gada līdz 2021. gadam, kā arī novērtēt dažādu sociālekonomisko faktoru ietekmi uz nabadzības varbūtību pirms Covid-19 pandēmijas un pandēmijas sākumposmā. Pasaulē vairāku gadu desmitu laikā ir samazinājies zem nabadzības sliekšņa dzīvojošo cilvēku skaits, tomēr negaidītā Covid-19 infekcijas izplatība un ieviestie ierobežojumi apturēja pozitīvo tendenci. Nabadzības riska izpēte veicina izpratni par to, kuras iedzīvotāju grupas ir īpaši neaizsargātas pret Covid-19 pandēmijas ekonomisko ietekmi.

This bachelor’s thesis is devoted to the study of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the risk of poverty in Latvia. The aim of the research is to analyze poverty indicators in Latvia in the period from 2007 to 2022, as well as to assess the impact of various socioeconomic factors on the probability of poverty before the Covid-19 pandemic and in the early stages of the pandemic. Over several decades, the number of people living below the poverty line in the world has decreased, but the unexpected spread of Covid-19 infection and the imposed restrictions stopped the positive trend. The research of poverty risk provides insight into which population groups are particularly vulnerable to the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
