Maģistra darba tēma ir Ābrahama tēls Filona darbā „Par Ābrahamu” un Pāvila Vēstulē romiešiem 4. nodaļā. Filons un Pāvils savos darbos runā par Ābrahamu kā ticības paraugu. Maģistra darba uzdevumi ir: Pirmkārt, noskaidrot Ābrahama tēla nozīmi Filona un Pāvila domāšanā;. Otrkārt, noskaidrot Filona un Pāvila izpratni par ticību kā Dieva dāvanu;. Treškārt, noskaidrot Filona un Pāvila ieguldījumu jūdu un nejūdu attiecībās. Lai noskaidrotu maģistra darba uzdevumus, tiks aplūkots Filona darbs „Par Ābrahamu” un Pāvila Vēstules romiešiem 4. nodaļa. Maģistra darba pētījuma rezultāts pierāda, ka Pāvils runā par Ābrahama ticību kā iemeslu, kura dēļ nejūdi tiek pieskaitīti Dieva tautai un tādā veidā kļūst par Ābrahama derības apsolījuma mantiniekiem. Title of Master paper is „Image of Abraham in the work of Philo „On Abraham” and in the Paul’s Epistle to Romans Chapter 4.” Philo and Paul are discoursing of Abraham as a model of faith. The tasks of Master paper are: First of all to clarify the meaning of the image of Abraham in the thinking of Philo and Paul; Secondary to clarify the comprehension of Philo and Paul about faith as a gift of God; Thirdly to clarify the input of Philo and Paul in the relationship of jews and non-jews. To clarify the tasks of Master paper will be inspect the work of Philo „On Abraham” and Paul’s Epistle to Romans Chapter 4. The result of the research of Master paper proves, that Paul is discoursing of the faith of Abraham as a reason why non-jews are add to God’s people and in that way become the heirs of Abraham’s promise of covenant. In his turn, Philo discourse faith as a gift of God, witch is benefit in the living in the way Abraham did. Both Theologians had imparted a big input in the relationship of jews and non-jews, only Paul has extended this thought.
